I have been a Licensed London Taxi Driver since 1992 and a Qualified Taxi Guide since 2001. I am also a Trained Security Aware Chauffeur having been instructed in protection driving, escape and evasion by ex-Royalty Protection (SO14) officers. I am qualified to level 2 Emergency First Aid, including CPR and use of defibrillator. I am also currently training to take the Institute of Advanced Motoring exam.

Having qualified as a taxi guide with the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers, I decided to become more involved with our trade’s Livery Company. After working my way through the ranks I had an amazing year as Master of the Company in 2010/2011. A real honour and a privilege. I am still heavily involved as I am also the Vice Chairman and Treasurer of the Livery Company’s major charitable endeavour, The Children’s Magical Taxi Tour. In brief, a convoy of 100 taxis full of very poorly children from London to Disneyland Paris. A truly magical event.

As I was born in, and have never moved away from East London, I am a true and very proud ‘cockney’. I love all tours and have taken customers on all sorts of weird and wonderful excursions, but I suppose my personal favourites are showing off my wonderful City and particularly my local area, which has seen major changes in a single generation. James Bond film and London’s real spy locations tours are something you could say I’m obsessed by. You can’t beat a bit of 007 and Cold War espionage so this message will self destruct in 10 seconds!
