Description

This Jack the Ripper: London and East End Crime Tour will take you back in time to 1888 to recreate the spine-chilling story of Jack the Ripper. Set in the Victorian era of the East End of London you will learn about the legends and the myth of the sensational “Whitechapel murders”.

The London Metropolitan Police Service collectively named the 11 murders that occurred between 1888 and 1891 the “Whitechapel Murders” as they all took place in this notorious and impoverished area in the East End of London.

Your driver-guide will take you to the different crime sites of Whitechapel and Wapping districts where you will be an eyewitness to the notorious pubs where the ‘working girls’ plied their trade back then.

You will walk through the once gas-lit alleyways of the 1800s and hear about the misdeeds of another despicable 19th-century terminator that claimed to be the author of more than 5 murders although only 5 could be attributed to him as being directly responsible.

Peep into the haunts of the legendary Kray Twins of more recent folklore. Wrap your head around the facts, victims, suspects, gangland leaders and their motives for two centuries of vicious attacks that nobody was ever brought to justice for.

Several arrests and questioning of different witnesses were conducted, but no one was ever caught or identified and Jack the Ripper’s identity was never revealed.

Quite a mouthful. Gulp it all down with a drink at an 18th-century tavern. Some sound advice. Come without your squeamish side.

Terrific fun. Mick was a wonderful guide. Great way to see some of East End and enjoy a spooky mystery. Was a cold evening, so we were very happy to have the warmth of a new, roomy black cab to take us around!

Absolutely brilliant afternoon with Bill (William on a Sunday). He managed to cram in so much information about Jack the Ripper and The Krays whilst navigating the busy roads of the east end.
Bill really does know the knowledge, and we recommend BCHT and Bill to anyone wanting to have an memorable experience whilst staying in London.
