Your journey begins in the bustling city of London, where you'll be greeted by your friendly and knowledgeable cab driver, who will be your guide for the day. Settle into the comfort of a classic black cab and relax as you leave the capital behind, heading southeast through the picturesque English countryside.

As you travel towards Dover, your driver will share fascinating insights into the region's rich history, from ancient settlements and Roman roads to tales of medieval pilgrims and coastal fortresses. Along the way, you'll pass rolling hills, charming villages, and scenic landscapes that showcase the beauty of rural England.

Whether you're heading off on a cruise or simply exploring the coast, your driver will ensure a smooth, comfortable, and engaging journey.

Finally, you’ll arrive at the Dover Cruise Terminal, where white cliffs tower above the historic port. Your driver will assist you with your luggage and bid you farewell as you prepare to embark on the next leg of your adventure, with a relaxing and scenic journey behind you.

IMPORTANT

Unlike a standard sedan or SUV, London Black Cabs do not have a traditional rear trunk (boot). Instead, they are engineered specifically for city efficiency and passenger accessibility.

Where does the luggage go?

Because there is no rear trunk, your suitcases will travel in two specific areas:The Front Compartment: Right next to the driver, where you would typically find a passenger seat in a normal car, there is a dedicated open luggage platform. This is perfect for large suitcases.

  • The Passenger Cabin: The "passenger compartment" is incredibly spacious with a flat floor. Because of the "flip-down" occasional seats, there is ample room to keep suitcases right on the floor with you.

Capacity Note: While the cabs are spacious, we generally recommend a maximum of 3 to 4 large suitcases (plus carry-ons) for a comfortable 5-hour tour. If you have an unusually large amount of luggage, just let us know in advance!

  • Weather notes: Force Majeure Disclaimer: In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as extreme weather, natural disasters, riots, strikes, etc. and the tour cannot operate as published, we will endeavour to reschedule your tour date/time or we will provide a full refund.
  • Know before you go: - Hotel pick-up is available upon request from Central London. If we do not receive your hotel information or if the hotel is outside of the pick-up radius, your guide will meet you at a recommended meeting point (address in the tour confirmation email). - Please be aware that London black cabs do not feature a separate trunk, so luggage capacity is limited. Each cab can accommodate up to 4 large suitcases, which will travel with you in the passenger cabin. Please keep this in mind when packing to ensure a comfortable ride.
  • Accesibility: All Black Cabs are wheelchair accessible and foldable wheelchairs (under 10kg) can be stored in the vehicle. Please note the person must be able to get into and out of the vehicle without the assistance of the driver or tour guide and a member of the group must be able to lift the wheelchair in and out of the vehicle without the assistance of the driver or tour guide. Additionally, on some occasions, slight amendments to the route may need to be made to make this fully accessible. If your wheelchair is over 10kg or cannot be folded to be easily stored in a vehicle, please be in touch, so we can arrange a custom booking for you.
